Band Camp 2012

From 13-15 December 2012, some 30+ band members camped out in Temasek Hall for the NUSWS annual band camp. From music workshops in the morning to night games in the wee hours of the night, they had fun getting to know each other and developing a little bit more musically!

The band camp also saw band members headed down to the Singapore Anglican Community Services Family Care Centre. NUSWS members taught a group of nearly 50 children a song as well as a percussive accompaniment to it. The children were able to perform the song at a later Christmas event. Band members also had fun playing games with the children.

An intra-band ensemble competition was held on the final day of camp. Sections pitted themselves against each other, working hard for the few hours they could find during camp to put together something entertaining! The day's activities finally culminated in a BBQ.

All in all, the NUSWS band camp was definitely a fun experience for all. Looking forward to Band Camp 2013!
